Keep in mind that 10th Street will be closed August 28, 29 and 30 for this race. This event is being planned under Piedmont Park Class B rules – which will involve the usual VaHi streets being closed off to non-residents for Saturday, the 29th. Plan that weekend accordingly. There will be a command post phone number to call for traffic/parking problems, but have not received it yet – so will have to let you know later.
Details are still being worked out for this major event that will close off Tenth Street between Piedmont and Monroe for three days on August 28, 29 and 30. This event is expected to draw 49,000 spectators, and is being planned under Piedmont Park’s Class B regulations. There is to be a presentation of all plans at the next NPU “F” meeting at 7 at the Hillside School on Monroe Drive on August 17th. I would strongly urge you to be in attendance to hear how these plans are going to affect you for these 3 days.
