Board Candidacy Declaration

Board term:  October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2028

Deadline to declare candidacy:  August 31, 2026

If you are interested in getting more involved in a leadership role in our neighborhood and you have some or all of the below qualifications, we welcome your submission for candidacy.

A successful VHCA board member exhibits the following qualifications:

  • proven leadership
  • previous board experience
  • Virginia-Highland neighborhood knowledge
  • community organization experience
  • communications
  • advocacy
  • event planning
  • fundraising
  • community involvement.

We champion diversity within the community and the board that represents it, in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, race, disabilities, etc.
