Neighborhood Resources
Virginia-Highland thrives thanks to generous neighbors who give their time, talent, and energy to maintaining and improving our quality of life. VHCA sometimes partners with other neighborhood nonprofits that share our goals. While each organization has its own mission and focus, we often work hand-in-hand to bring community projects to life.
Virginia-Highland Security Patrol (VHSP)
Founded in 1990, VHSP is a volunteer-run nonprofit staffed by off-duty Atlanta Police and Fulton County Sheriff’s officers. For more than 30 years, the patrol has helped reduce crime and improve safety. Officers work in uniform and marked cars, providing the “beat-cop” presence that keeps our streets safe. Virginia-Highland District Association (VHDA)
Founded in 2020, VHDA is a volunteer-supported nonprofit dedicated to the health and vibrancy of our small business district. Its mission centers on economic development, public-realm investment, and community engagement. VHDA hosts neighborhood favorites like Porchfest, Winterfest, and the weekly Virginia-Highland Market.
