Summerfest is the largest fundraising event for the VHCA and the neighborhood and is entirely put on by volunteers. All of the money raised through Summerfest goes directly back into the community. VHCA has no paid staff or officers.Since 2004, VHCA has been able to purchase the land that is North Highland Park and donate over $412,167. This is primarily due to proceeds raised from Summerfest and Tour of Homes.

During the first weekend of June, artists, musicians, food vendors, and more take over Virginia Ave NE to officially kick off summer. Find out more at vahi.org/summerfest.

Summerfest earns proceeds that VHCA uses to maintain Viriginia-Highland's parks, advocate for neighbors and negotiate conditions with developments, realize the vision of the neighborhood's Comprehensive Plan, host events, as well as issue annual grants to local schools, churches, synagogues, and non-profits.
