Mayoral Candidate Forums

The first forum session sponsored by Campaign for Atlanta will be held this weekend (July 18 and 19) at the Carter Center from 3 to 6:15. The topics this weekend will be basic services and public safety, with the 4 major candidates being quizzed by experts in these fields. www.campaignforatlanta.org for more details as to how these forums will be held. On Thursday, July 23 at 7 at the Georgia State University Auditorium, another forum featuring the 4 major candidates will be hosted by the International Brotherhood of Police Officers and the International Association of Fire Fighters. Jim Daws, local IAFF president states – “Voters need to hear first-hand that these candidates understand the challenges facing the men and women who protect Atlanta and that they have a plan to provide them with the resources necessary to effectively perform their duties.” Morse Diggs of Fox5 will be the moderator.
