Summerfest June 6th and 7th

This is our neighborhood’s chance to show off to the metro area – be sure you are part of this wonderful celebration of summer. Volunteers are still needed for a variety of activities – go to www.vahi.org and click on Summerfest to put down your name for the slot of your choice. This is the economic engine that will be used to make mortgage payments on the new parkland at North Highland and St. Charles Place. Don’t forget that Virginia Avenue will be closed as of Friday morning – so plan your trips accordingly.

That same weekend our Fire Station # 19 will be holding an open house – so make time during this busy weekend to meet the folks who are on duty to protect us. Hope they will have plenty of # 19 t-shirts to sell this weekend.
